Summer Glau
Her first TV role was a guest role as an actress on an episode of the popular television show Angel. The role caught the attention of director Joss Whedon, who later cast her in his critically acclaimed , yet short-lived TV series Firefly as River Tam, a role she reprised for the sequel feature film to the show Serenity. Glau previously auditioned for the part of an Power Ranger (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssaenrile) in Power Rangers Wild Force but lost to actress Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon.Glau was in the episode "Love Conquer Al" from the TV series Cold Case. Glau had a small part in the movie Sleepover in which she played the high school senior Shelly. She was also featured in "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. " in season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girlfriend of Jeremy Erhart). In 2006, Glau played Tess Doerner, a paranoid schizophrenic returnee during the season two premiere of The 4400, and became a recurring character from season three onwards. Mammoth was also her horror comedy role. Glau was also cast in the ABC Family TV movie The Initiation of Sarah.In Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a show that debuted January 13, 2008. Glau was the character Cameron Phillips, a Terminator infiltration unit who is sent back to safeguard John Connor and Sarah Connor from Skynet. The seventh episode of the series, "The Demon Hand" included scenes in which Glau (as Cameron) dances ballet. Glau also played Allison Young (Cameron’s human doppelganger ) in episodes of the second season, "Allison of Palmdale" and"Born To Run". Glau was also a guest on herself in a 2009 episode of the CBS situation comedy The Big Bang Theory
